Kardashian vs. Jenner

First of all I rarely watch 'The Kardashian's' because it is usually so ridiculous and I hate how the family (especially Kris) treat Bruce. He is normally not even given any thought and then when he is, his feelings and say do not even matter. He married Kris and those 4 oldest kids, how many men are willing to date, let alone marry a woman with 4 kids from someone else? He raised them from the time they were little and devoted his time, attention, and love to them.

I'm writing this because last night I watched the The Kardashian's, and in this episode Kris was wanting (it is all about her you know), to change her name back to Kardashian. I couldn't believe it. What disrespect and utter disregard for the man she is MARRIED TO. She is not even a Kardashian, that is her late husband's name - if she doesn't want to be a Jenner, then the only other name she should be able to go back to should be her maiden name. She kept saying it was because it was now "a brand" - that's disgusting. What is the world coming to? I just assumed that no one would stop her and she would do what she wanted but Khloe actually did something.

Out of six children, ONE confronted her. Khloe went to her honestly and bluntly and snapped her back to reality. Major respect to Khloe for doing that. That would have been a huge injustice and she stopped it. Khloe Kardashian is my favorite of that entire family. (Not that it's a close race or that my opinion matters in the grand scheme of things, but hey, this is my Blog)

Bruce is an important part of that family - how would they all have turned out without a father figure in the home growing up? I would suspect differently and Kris would have had a lot harder time doing it all on her own for the last 20 years. They all need to wake up, get over themselves, and thank Bruce for being a part of their lives and for all he has done.

They may appreciate him deep down, (I like to hope that!), but as far as I have seen, Khloe is the only one who has shown any form of respect for him.

It's funny because the last episode I watched, in it's entirety, was when Khloe wanted her brother to walk her down the isle. An act which I considered a huge slap in Bruce's face. Yes she should miss her biological father, (of course!) and yes she should want her brother to be apart of her wedding but this man helped RAISE her - what kind of world do we live in where there is no respect for the fathers??

Fathers, Step-fathers, Foster Fathers, Adoptive Fathers... I am so thankful for my Dad. He worked hard and did the best that he could. I'm not saying that they are perfect or don't make mistakes, I'm saying we need to appreciate them for their heart, and the fact that they TRY to provide everything, and protect, and make the best decisions they can.

Stage 10 of Christmas - The Days After.

Well, Christmas is officially over.

"Now what?"

This is always my feeling the day after Christmas! lol

All the hype, all the spending, all the suspense...over.

I LOVE the stations that continued playing Christmas music the day after, it was so much fun driving home.

The Christmas exchanges with family and friends throughout this week make Christmas continue on, even if I have to work every day! They are wonderful and exciting in their own sense because they have a feeling of being "bonuses" of Christmas.

I get this dramatic love of Christmas from my mother. She is a Christmas fanatic. The fact that I am actually depressed after Christmas Day is truly her fault. For those who know me and read this blog, you know this is a rare moment of sentimentalism. I know that decorations in Bula will be up until the weekend after the New Year and presents will stay under the tree for at least the day after New Year's. Christmas music will still play and the eating of left overs and cookies will continue on for 3 weeks. Not knowing any other way, I admit that I am biased towards these traditions.

I know people who take everything down and put everything away as soon as the actual Christmas Day is over. I cannot fathom this lol where's the fun in that?

Christmas is one time a year. One time a year to see everyone you love, to eat whatever you want and way more than you should, to spoil children who may not even deserve coal, to hear the Christmas story, to actually not mind longer travel times and snow coming down in buckets to cover everything. One time a year to get the things you WANT instead of buying yourself the things you NEED, to see people's faces light up as they open their gifts, to bust out all your holiday scented candles and baking skills.
(or lack there of if you're me) :p

I know that there are still down times, the remembering of loved ones who are no longer there, the missing those who can't come home, the piles of neglected work you will have to go back to, the spending of your savings, the messy house, the long lines in stores, and the days that it will take to get everything put away...

But it's so worth it! And to be over in a day, or two days, is just unimaginable for me. I want to make Christmas last as long as I can. A two week extension taking you right into that next year! Who wants to rush?

So here's to a Merry Christmas Week! Life is so short and this truly is the best time of the year!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! lol I meant to post something BEFORE the holiday, but what can I say...better late than never?!? My holiday, long weekend, and black friday shopping were all fabulous and I hope you guys can all the same! Hopefully everyone travelled safely!!! I always get nervous driving during the holidays, all the crazy's (black friday shoppers esp. Myself excluded of course...) are out! (apparently they have families too...) :P Below is a montage of my family's Thanksgiving with the Curtis', Allens, and Hamiltons! All the food was amazing, and of course there was a cheese ball...which I have to say, my mom makes the best of! I always eat too much of the snacks and appetisers, and hardly any of the actual Thanksgiving Day meal! And then there's dessert... :P At the end of the montage are 2 short vids of the guys playing the Wii! I def. want one now!!! :P

I know I'm not! lol I have a couple short vids on my digital camera that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with yet! lol I may post them individually or put those together to, but either way, there's more to come! lol Enjoy!
